While you are in this mode of reading messages, try pressing a control c. What
will happen, is the screen will clear and you will be given a new menu. Press
"S" for system utilities, but make sure you have it loaded in drive 2 or
another drive that ProDOS can access.
Another useful command is the escape key. This key will put you instanously
into the chat mode. To get back out of the chat mode, just press the escape
key or the control c to return the user back into the last place they were in
the program. By the way, for those of you who are new to BBS, "Chat" is the
ability for the sysop to talk directly to the user who is on line. Please do
not interrupt a user while they are copying down thier password, this only
occurs when the user has signed on as "NEW" and have been issued a password.
Once they get past that point in the program, you can freely interrupt anytime
you wish.
Also, you can check out the rest of the special characters by going to the
system utilities, and use the special character option. Have fun with the BBS!
